Speaker 1:

Thank you. Large franchise system and most recently I co-founded, grew and sold a franchise beauty brand. My hope is that you learn by listening in to these conversations and considerations. Enjoy the show.

Speaker 2:

Here's something to consider, and this is the idea of convenience. I'm on a trail right near my home, which makes it very convenient for me to go hike it, even when, sometimes, when I was selling gym memberships, I would tell people, particularly people at the beginning of their fitness journey, we're just getting back on, it is, go to the thing that's most convenient. The Taj Mahal gym or facility that's way out of your way, not in your daily commute, is not going to serve the purpose that you want it to. It's got to be convenient in order to add it to be part of your life and, conversely, there's inconvenience. Want to do something less, make it really inconvenient to do.

Speaker 2:

This could be as simple as taking junk food out of your pantry. So when you get those cravings, the bag of chips isn't waiting for you, and I think we could do a lot of this pretty easily just by thinking of convenient or inconvenient there's. Do it. You're doing something that you don't want to be doing. I'll make it more inconvenient. I have a uh, an app on my phone called once, one sec one second, Maybe it's one sec, I don't know. Um, but I have it for apps that I don't want to spend a lot of time on frivolously, like YouTube. I don't want to scroll YouTube all the time, so the OneSec app makes me take a couple deep breaths before I go into an app. It makes me rethink do I really want to be on that app right now? Makes it less convenient. So something to consider convenience versus inconvenience. Obviously, the things that are going to help you win make them more convenient somehow, and the things that are going to take you away from your goals make them less convenient.

Speaker 1:

Well, that wraps up today's episode. I hope it helped you in some way, even if it was just to provide another perspective. Please share it with others that may benefit as well.
